@farrelly_peter Nobody expected Italians to show up? I guess nobody expected hundreds of Bulgarians to be flown in by Keelings either despite it being approved beforehand by government. Guess it wasn't known they were dumping covid-positive 'asylum seekers' in places like Caherciveen either

@AltviewIreland Hindsight is a magical thing, the game had been cancelled well in advance - nobody expected all Italians to show up + for them to be carrying Covid at the scale suggested by some people. We would have been the first country in the world to shut our borders as well...

It's called flu season. The only 'second wave' we have is one of f*ckery If the alleged pandemic was 1/10th as lethal as these inept clowns are making out, why have the borders remained wide open since the start of the year?

@farrelly_peter I'm not talking about imports. Thousands were left fly in from northern Italy, the worst hit spot in Europe at that time, while schools here were closed, St. Patrick's Day cancelled & the country shut down. Suggestions to shut the borders were scoffed at by Harris & co.

@AltviewIreland Well believe it or not we are an island and require imports from other countries - secondly if you have been to Dublin airport you’d see how ‘open’ they really are, barely anybody entering. We need open borders to function. Obviously cannot close the northern irish border either
