Really encouraging effort by Louth today, even if the defeat was tragic. Tom Jackson and Niall Sharkey were excellent when they came on, Donal McKenny was good on his comeback, Leonard Greg’s handling was top-notch, Downey’s goal was superb, Daire McConnon and Sam played well.

Seán McClean was the best fixtures administrator we've had in this county, in my mind. He attempted to structure the season correctly and had to deal with more shit, given the Covid interruption, than any of his predecessors. It was a thankless role; he's a big loss to Louth GAA.
