💫The ASTEP’s Team (#WrocławUniversityofScienceandTechnology, #UniversidadPolitecnicadeCartagena, @UNED and #ANALISIS-DSC) have received the first level (the highest) award in the contest of Wrocław Council Of The Federation Of Science And Technology Associations NOT for a prize: "𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆" in 2023 for a patent application „𝙋 𝟰𝟰𝟱𝟲𝟴𝟱: 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩”. 🌞Last Wednesday, we had our final Review Meeting at the UNED´s Library premises in Madrid (Spain). Some partners joined online, while others had the opportunity to meet in person. All had the opportunity to show the results from each Work Package to our Project Officer. 🚨It has been 6 years since we all met for the first time and we were planning the proposal submission, we organized the tasks to reach our Expected Outcomes: the development of ASTEP concept which includes an innovative solar thermal collector (Sundial) with a thermal energy storage (TES) unit and controlled with a software application. 💫​Do you want to see our pilots? ☀️These are the two pilots that were tested in Tecnogetafe facilities, the characteristics of each one are: 1) It is a rotative fresnel collector for the dairy industry in Greece, where the sun impinges longitudinally. Mandrekas S.A. is located at a latitude of 37.93 N (Corinth, Greece) with a steam demand at 175 ºC and a cooling demand at 5 ºC. 2) It is a rotative fresnel collector for the steel industry in Romania, the sun impinges transversally and incorporates a second tracking system (the mirrors rotate around their axis) to improve the concentration, due to the high latitude at which they have to work. ArcelorMittal Europe -Tubular Products with a heating demand of more than 220 ºC, to preheat tubes before painting, and located at a latitude of 47.1 N (Iasi, Romania).
