Confirmed: Plans to dual the A1 betweeen Morpeth and Ellingham have been scrapped.
The main road link between England and Scotland will continue to be single-carriageway.

And I've updated my list of astronomy journals that publishes anything at all: ApJ, MNRAS, NatAst, A&A.
No comment on which is preferable, but feel we under-appreciate just how different astro publishing is to many/most other fields.

Academic job market candidates: PLEASE add a line to the front page of your website that says something like "I am on the 2024-25 academic job market." This might sound silly but it makes it much easier to tell who is looking for a job now.
