One of the better stories of the year that most people aren't talking about:
John Parry is 39 years old, its his first year on the PGA Tour after earning his card via DP World Tour.
He is currently T-4, making him now 9 for 9 in cuts made as a rookie.
5 years ago, 14 years into his pro career he had lost all of his DP and Challenge Tour status and was playing the EuroPro Tour in England.
The top-five from that tour get Challenge (hotelplanner) Tour status, and Parry finished fifth by just a few thousand to grab the last card.
Three years later he won three times on the Challenge Tour and made it back to DP full-time again. Early in the year he won, over 14 years after his first DP win.
Now in his 19th season as a pro, he hasn't missed a cut in his first full season in the U.S.
Pretty awesome stuff.
