No hate as a Ken Carson fan, but how you gonna name an album xperiment, but then not experiment?

@PolymarketHoops @ramonashelburne I bet that but you can be more patient with varying offers and not settle for PeeGee

The Boston Celtics believed that Jaylen Brown desired to be the No. 1 option, making it challenging for him to revert to a supporting role alongside Jayson Tatum.

Melcere and Caleb and Jaiden are the two least compatible couples and we vote to send one person home from each couple which means Sincere and Jaiden gets dumped and then Melanie and Caleb couple up by default #LoveIslandUSA

@JDtheVoice91 I meant he’s a UFA after this upcoming season. So similar to Anfernee, he can increase his value here and get dealt at the trade deadline, sign to a smaller deal and become a solidified bench piece, or just let him leave to free up the money and still have TM3 till 2030
English

@AyoItsJared Didnt know Poole was an ufa. Then I wouldn't need him in that trade unless it was a sign and trade for 9 million a year or less.
English

@JDeeperLook Exactly, fans on my timeline are WAY too confident that Brad can still just package the TPE with some picks for TM3 lol
English

@AyoItsJared Thank you. I’m just trying to explain the cap side clearly because it changes what is actually possible.
English

I would love to see the Celtics get Trey Murphy III.
Boston does have a $27.7M TPE, and in theory Murphy’s $27M salary fits into that exception.
But the key issue is that Boston already used the non-taxpayer MLE to sign Mitchell Robinson, which hard-caps them at the first apron.
So if the Celtics simply absorb Murphy with the TPE without moving salary out at the same time, they would go over the first apron.
It is totally fine for media to report possible targets or potential moves. But a proper report should also explain whether the move is actually executable under the cap rules.
Saying “Boston can get Murphy with just picks because they have the TPE” without mentioning the first-apron issue is incomplete.
That is the difference between just posting a possibility and actually doing the work as a reporter.

The Celtics can acquire Trey Murphy III with just draft picks due to possessing a $27.7 million traded player exception. Murphy’s $27 million salary slides right into the TPE, which creates this starting lineup: Payton Pritchard Murphy Paul George Jayson Tatum Mitchell Robinson

@JDtheVoice91 Poole UFA, treat it exactly like the Simons situation. Not mad at it if it helps Dumars budge to take Boston’s deal.
I really want Brad to snag TM3. I’d almost rather just give up White and 2 firsts but I understand if it’s PG rerouted. Brad has until July 6 but time is ticking
English

@AyoItsJared Ayy lets do it. Poole contract terrible and we give up an aging bad contract as well. Run it up lol
English

@JDeeperLook Great takes. I appreciate how insightful you are man! Especially to a common fan who may not undertsand the intricacies of the financial restrictions

I agree with your point because it is very close to what I have been thinking in my recent posts. If Boston wants to pursue a player like Trey Murphy III by using the $27.7M TPE, the cleanest issue to solve is the first apron. Since the Celtics already used the non-taxpayer MLE to sign Mitchell Robinson, they cannot simply absorb Murphy into the TPE without moving salary out. That is why Derrick White becomes such an important trade chip. In a larger three-team or multi-team structure, Boston could use the TPE to absorb Murphy, send enough draft compensation to New Orleans, and move White to a third team for picks or other assets.
That kind of structure could help Boston add Murphy, move out roughly $30M in salary, stay under the first apron, and potentially create a new large TPE from White’s contract. So I do not disagree with the idea of selling high on Derrick White. White is a very good player and fits almost anywhere, but if the goal is to use the TPE on a high-level wing while staying under the apron, his salary and market value make him the cleanest path. I would also support it because Boston still has Payton Pritchard, Jordan Walsh, and Hugo Gonzalez. I’m especially interested in seeing how high Hugo Gonzalez’s ceiling can be.

This trade was never going to get us closer to a championship this year, that was never going to happen, his trade value was shot, what it did was make us better now, and give us more buying power + more flexibility going into 2027.
MoggedByRoman@MoggedByRoman
regular season-wise: In: george, tatum, robinson Out: jaybee, vuceevic Won't win a championship, but how did they get worse?
English

Those picks too valuable to use on Trey Murphy save it for a whale like Luka Jokic Ant which might happen before those picks convey. I’d trade our own 1st for Trey tho
brad guapovich@BallUpTopBrad
If u can get Trey Murphy III (or an another real 2nd option) with the picks u got from the JB trade…. It’s not a fleece 1/2 Paul George 1/2 Trey Murphy That equals Jaylens value am I wrong?
