This is the future of ibos in Yorubaland! All those your shops will be forcefully closed and you will return to where you came from whether you like it or not! Another clownish behaviour about these Ibo people is that before one or two arguments, they are always quick to counter you with, "We are only in Lagos because of the seaport."
They don't want to admit the fact that Lagos, a yoruba land has been the major source of their livelihood and survival.
Basically, what they are saying is that:
Mama Inkechi, who sells ugu at Iyana-Iba, is also in Lagos because of the seaport?
Or Nnamdi, who sells phone pouches and screen guards at Oshodi Market?
What about Chibuzo, that sells fairly used kitchen utensils at Aswani Market?
Or mama Ifeayin, who sells foodstuffs at Ejigbo Market.
Or maybe Nonso, who owns a beer parlour at Ago Palace?😂
Or Chibuzo, who sells furniture and home appliances at Alaba.
Abi Ebubu, who sells fake drugs at Idumota?
Or obina that sells, okirika at Vespa market 🤔
Perhaps maybe Ugochukwu, who sells car spare parts at Ladipo?
Or Chiamaka, who works at Polaris Bank?
Or Mrs. Ezedende, who taught me Social Studies in secondary school?

Nice article. Covered the key points well. It's ultimately about our language, culture, and civilisational inheritance. Those who cite "Yoruba tax" as some sort of criticism or unfairness are simply trying to excuse away either a lack of marketable culture or a failure to elevate their culture. Failure has 1001 excuses. As you implied, we will proudly flaunt our "Yoruba tax."

It's an opportunity for them to tell us how they feel about us! Expecting anything different is not understanding or wanting to admit a clear reality which is that most ethnic groups in Nigeria are anti-Yoruba! A huge part of what fuels it is jealousy. Know this and know your peace.

We are all migrants on a journey. The problem is that we view migration emotionally through the lenses of our very short lives. Demographics evolve over thousands of years. People should be free to move and naturalise anywhere they choose without fear and allow nature run its course. Displacement is nature's way of selecting inhabitants. If visitors thrive better in your "land", then you are better off else where on no where.
