This morning I went to vote NO at the HOPE WAY polling site in Alexandria. While checking in, I mentioned I may need to grab my driver’s license from my car. An election worker (Robin is her name) told me, “You don’t need your ID, we can verify you, you’ll be fine.” I responded, no I need my ID. After finding it, I checked in and said clearly that everyone should show ID. That’s when the worker began arguing, saying “not everyone has ID, some can’t afford it, there are many reasons why.” That’s not just inappropriate, it’s electioneering from a poll worker. Totally unacceptable.

This war needs to stop immediately, and I’m calling on everyone, Republicans & Democrats, to protest in the streets until we get an IMMEDIATE change of leadership. 405 people have been shot so far in less than a few months. We just crossed 100 victims who have died from being shot. Innocent children and civilians are being murdered, and our leaders have done nothing to make the situation any better. This is not Iran. This is Chicago.

As the DC area begins to face heavy rain and strong winds, and I hear the rain hitting the windows, I can’t help but think about these lyrics: “Rain came and wind blew, but my house was built on You. I’m safe with You, I’m gonna make it through. Christ is my firm foundation, the Rock on which I stand.” And it’s bigger than just the weather. Life will bring storms, unexpected challenges, pressure, setbacks, heartbreak, and moments where everything feels like it’s shaking. But when your life is built on a firm foundation, you don’t collapse, you stand. The storm doesn’t determine your outcome, your foundation does. So if you’re going through something right now, don’t panic in the rain. Don’t fear the wind. Stay rooted. Stay grounded. Stay faithful. Because when you’re built on Him, you may bend, but you won’t break. You’re going to make it through. 🙏

The ignorance on social media right now is unbelievable. Americans are literally posting videos encouraging Iran to “attack the White House” or “go after the President instead of the rest of the world.” You don’t have to like a President. But encouraging a hostile foreign regime to attack American leadership is reckless, un-American, and dangerous. Frankly, behavior like that borders on domestic terrorism. Thank God social media didn’t exist during WWI or WWII. Imagine Americans online helping enemy governments target our own country. Stop the ignorance.

Before anything else this morning, we pause and go to the Lord in prayer. We lift up the men and women of our Armed Forces who are far from home. Lord, cover them with your protection, strengthen them for the days ahead, and bring them safely back to the families who are waiting and praying for them. Place a hedge of protection around every service member and keep them from harm. We ask that you grant wisdom to those making decisions in this hour, and let your peace prevail where there is uncertainty and conflict. Lord, we trust you, and we give it all back to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🇺🇸

Do not fall for the fake Christian pitch. My God did not create six genders, and men do not belong in women’s locker rooms. Keep Texas RED. Protect our girls. Donald Trump’s actions in Venezuela do not make America safer, stronger, or more affordable. That Maduro is a brutal, illegitimate dictator does not change the fact that this action was both unlawful and unwise. We’ve seen this movie before. Wars for regime change or oil that are sold as strength but turn into chaos, and American families pay the price. The American people do not want this, and they are tired of being lied to. This is not about drugs or democracy. It is about oil and Donald Trump’s desire to play the regional strongman. If he cared about either, he wouldn’t pardon a convicted drug trafficker or sideline Venezuela’s legitimate opposition while pursuing deals with Maduro’s cronies. The President is putting troops at risk, spending billions, destabilizing a region, and offering no legal authority, no exit plan, and no benefit at home. America needs leadership whose priorities are lowering costs for working families, enforcing the rule of law, strengthening alliances, and — most importantly — putting the American people first.

Enough with the fake outrage. It is loud, lazy, and dishonest. Presidents do not need Congress for every strike or raid. That is not a loophole, that is the Constitution. Commander in Chief means the president handles immediate threats. Congress declares wars. Different jobs. Always have been. And spare the amnesia. Barack Obama ordered airstrikes and approved the bin Laden raid with no congressional vote. Joe Biden has ordered airstrikes and counter terror operations the same way. Nobody lost their minds then. When foreign leaders are indicted criminals tied to drugs or terrorism, they are treated like criminal threats, not untouchable royalty. Arresting criminals is not starting a war. That argument is weak. Congress still has oversight after the fact through investigations, funding, and hearings. That is the system working. Bottom line. Congress debates wars. Presidents stop threats. If you are only angry now, you are not confused. You are being selective on purpose.
