We climbed Abune Yemata Guh, a 6th century church carved into the side of a mountain in northern Ethiopia. To reach it, you must scale the vertical rock barefoot because shoes are forbidden on sacred ground. No one has ever fallen. The mountain is said to be blessed by God.
