NFT antiquities and historical NFTs that pioneered the space will hold significant value because they’re simply a bet on society becoming more digital. You can’t go back and recreate those firsts. This Genesis MoonCat could have a new owner, probably soon

On January 31st, 2026 the UIs for NFTX V2 and V3 will be switched off. The protocols will remain active (as smart contracts live forever), but will no longer be supported or managed by the original team. While this does mark the end of support for NFTX, we are continuing our mission to build radical products onchain through Flayer Labs. The future will be onchain, and we're going to push the boundaries of what decentralized infrastructure can enable

Genesis mooncats have their special status explicitly encoded in the original mooncat contract. That's one of the reasons why they're top tier and a great flex! CMFB capital proudly acquired Genesis #1757 (0xff38000ca7), special thanks to @vidpetnft for making it happen! Some stats: I- Genesis cats were released in groups of 16, this one was released in the 4th group (#56). Total 96 cats. II- Black Gens come either as standing or pouncing. Standing shy ones are the rarest (only 4). Happens to be my favorite pose-expression. Spotted ones are also one of the rarest. III- Provenance: this great cat belonged to Jake Gallen initially before the hack then acquired by Vidpet and found its way into my vault. IV- This mooncat is unnamed, I don't know if I can ever find a worthy name for it. V- It's super cute.
