I’m really excited for founders building in the IRL tech space.
Obviously I’m biased towards my incredible dating/social app friends. But this also includes LLMs and AI founders.
The people building toward IRL connection and experiences right now are working on the right problem.
The ones who figure out they don’t have to build the execution layer entirely from scratch are going to move the fastest.

People don’t show up more when you convince them.
They show up more when you make it easy to say yes.
The highest-leverage thing you can do not only in tech, but for yourself in life, is to remove decisions that should never have been yours to make in the first place.
I learned this running presidential campaigns, while building/shipping code, being on early startup teams, it’s the same principle.
Make systems that are impossible for people to disagree, hate, or walk away from.
The harder it seems or the more pressure there is, no matter what people will walk away, including men in love.

situationships are just a symptom of an extremely risk averse culture where people would rather be in a low grade state of anxiety and misery to avoid having their feelings hurt by getting dumped. technology just allows for these types of things to prolong themselves
