We have been thinking about Remembrance day and doing lots of poppy themed art work. We practised our subitising with 4 and 5, used magnetic numbers to match to their numeral and took part in an anti-bullying workshop which was lots of fun! @MrGunchala @BrookhurstPri

Year 1 have been exploring the sense of touch. Using our hands, we felt different items inside a feely box and described them to each other. For an extra challenge, we repeated the activity while wearing a glove. @BrookhurstPri @MrGunchala

What a wonderful week at Brookhurst! And a great first Celebration Assembly and 'Hot Chocolate with the Head' today - the marshmallows were definitely a hit!
