@Fiskinexile As I said earlier the Voice legislation will be developed based on the design principles (which incl being accountable and transparent to public) and research. The current state is not improving outcomes so the Voice is an opportunity to change that

@ButtonSelwyn1 Right, and you have no idea what they are going to legislate. You have no evidence it will be remotely democratic (Calma-Langton suggest a strong No) and therefore whether it will have a scintilla of accountability. But it will cure trachoma and heart disease.

@Fiskinexile Ultimately the Australian Parliament will be responsible for drafting the legislation to outline the form and function of the Voice, informed by multiple reports including Calma/Langton, Referendum Council etc, with input from all Australians as is the case for any legislation

@ButtonSelwyn1 1) Notice how we say "proposals" not "proposal" - we're just spitballing and hoping something shows up. 2) Calma-Langton (2021) don't even stipulate the National Voice should be elected!
