he didn’t even have to say a thing — neither of them did. he knew. he was there for her . . .

“ don’t mention it, just close those weary eyes of yours . . .” he’d run that hand through her hair and let his gaze focus on the tv — though he was making a conscious decision to keep a close eye on her, and her breathing, to see if she was actually asleep or not.

“ fine, here . . .” Deus wasn’t that great at being . . . soft. but he tried. he’d lean back into the corner he was in to try and flatten his torso so she could lay down and use his chest or stomach as a pillow. once she was situated he’d move his hand through her hair again.

“ actually I think I have every reason to worry about you. you’re going to catch some kind of human disease if you keep pushing your body and mind too much. believe me. ” he had a slight frown, sighing out as his gaze returned to the tv. “ want me to put you to bed 𖤠 ”

“ you need to sleep and worry about yourself . . .” hed say would practically instruct, giving her a small smile between his harsher love and her kiss. “ . . . please. ” he thought it only right to actually say it nicely — though he wanted her to rest.

his gaze would quickly shift down towards their hands, a soft hum escaping him. “ well in that case, I suppose I will have to stay . . .” yeah it wouldn’t take much convincing.

“ I can if you’d like me to . . .” he would look down at her out of the corner of his eye. “ you look like you’ve been to war and back . . .”

he’d move an arm around her unknowingly. just out of instinct. “ tired 𖤠” he’s brainlessly flicking through channels on tv.

your guilt will follow you everywhere. you cannot escape what has been done, only accept that you are the monster you are desperately trying to run from.
