All religions hate women. They were all made by men, for men & about men. It’s so obvious it’s embarrassing.

@JeremiahDJohns I know someone who argues: • music from the 60s and 70s is still popular and played at events & in movies; • back in the 60s & 70s, we didn't constantly hear music from the 1910s; and, • it shows how much we hate modern music and long for better singers & songs.

I've written about this before, but it's remarkable how much older music is strangling new music. And the same is true in books, movies, video games. Older media is taking up a bigger and bigger share of the market every year.

@SenWarren Please do the right thing to help these students. Make the schools that profited off of them, stole their loans, and didn't provide what they promised and didn't provide repay those loans. Why may taxpayers pay for the administrators who stole those funds?

Instead of lowering costs, Donald Trump is threatening chaos for millions of families with student loans. We've got to keep fighting back to protect students and families.

@crebj @ChristnNitemare Maybe we're both saying it depends on intent. Given that we can't stop sinning, are they using that to discourage children into despair, or promote that they aren't slaves to the sins & have an escape?

@CLHinkle @ChristnNitemare I see your thinking, but I'm afraid you've misinterpreted my meaning. Saying to children that they're sinners at heart, when sin is such a serious topic in their church, seems punitive to me. And they've committed no crime worthy of such hectoring. 'Night.

@edward15043 @A_Philosopher @Maximumatheist enough. The “regurgitated pagan mythology” I’ve read is retconned and not what the Pagans believed, I don’t know which Gospel writer you’re referring to who wasn’t from there, and no one’s given me sufficient reason to doubt them as eyewitnesses.

@edward15043 @A_Philosopher @Maximumatheist trying to convince you to be a believer; I don’t think it’s possible to ‘argue’ someone into faith. My goal is always to demonstrate that faith is as rational as conclusion disbelief … or find confidence to change my mind. But the arguments against have not been compelling …

Think about it.. your IQ has to be pretty low to be convinced there’s a magic being in the sky that will torture you for all eternity if you touch your naughty bits. And ironically it also needs your money.

I'd be lots better off if I could disbelieve, but I haven't seen any arguments that sufficiently dispute them [to me] as witnesses.

Neither do- Osiris Dionysus Tammuz Asclepius Adonis Baldr Quetzalcoatl Innana or any of the other resurrected gods with similar evidence to Jesus. No eyewitnesses, stories written long afterwards.

@edward15043 @A_Philosopher @Maximumatheist century codices that contain the beginning or endings of the Gospels identify them according to their traditional authorship. There are no anonymous copies of the Gospels and there are no copies of the canonical Gospels under different names. Unless evidence to the contrary …
