The Heat were projected to win 37-39 games this season. They've won 40. But this was never about how many -- it's about how. Getting to the end of the season with Spoelstra trusting 7 while reducing Ware and Jakucionis's roles is not ideal.

Reminder: The Miami Heat were the only team in the East this season to NOT make a trade. Over the years, they have missed out on players like Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, Kyrie Irving, Russell Westbrook, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bradley Beal, and Ja Morant. They are now 2–8 in their last 10 games and sit as the 10th seed in the East, poised to head to the play-in tournament for the fourth straight season. Mediocrity.

Since the Heat's 14-7 start to the season, the Heat is 26-30. The Heat has the NBA's 14th-ranked offensive rating, 14th-ranked defensive rating and 16th-ranked net rating during this 26-30 stretch.

The Heat are now 5-11 this season when Herro and Powell both play. Who do you think goes this offseason?

The Marlins have replaced their Word Series banners and relocated them toward the right field foul pole. Huge upgrade.

Peacock debating Heat. Brian Scalabrine asks why they're so inconsistent. Cornette says he has to be careful because he's on the Heat bench tonight, but said it's simply because they lack top tier talent. (I will say the only 2 teams they're behind - narrowly -and have no business being behind IMO are Toronto and Atlanta.)
