@dylanarvela The Western Advocate was a huge influence on me growing up in Bathurst, and was part of the reason I wanted to get into Journalism - really sad state of affairs the industry is in over there for decent sized towns to have their news outputs shrink by so much!

More sad news for regional media today with ACM papers in Orange, Dubbo and Bathurst (all towns with 40k+ populations) set to be wound back once a week editions. Editorial and sales redundancies to follow. What is the minimum size town/city where a daily paper is viable?
