My maternal Grandfather was born at Morice Lake ❤️ Thautil Thomas was my grandfathers, grandfather. Thautil River is named after him ❤️ Thautil and his brother Issac Chasiak created the 1st map of Northern BC because they lived and survived off the land ❤️

@cbcnewsbc I’ve witnessed the lateral violence, I’ve heard horrible stories of mistreatment of my Wetsu’wet’en Matriarchs. Its heartbreaking. Our ancestors knew how to resolve conflict, the traditional system changed so much. Perhaps it’s missing the true matriarchal women?
