Louisville baseball looked like a bad Little League team last night: catcher spiking ball into the outfield to allow a run, not being able to complete a simple rundown, and dropping and misjudging balls in the outfield. It was rough.

If we learned one thing from this year's NCAA tournament, it's this: Having a top five NBA draft pick doesn't always translate to wins.

Things for those with eligibility left to work on. Wooley: On-ball defense and splitting double teams. Zou: A jumper instead of that push shot. Fru: Motor, physicality, and some attitude. Rooths: Focus on rebounding, defending and running the floor, and the rest will come.

Mark Pope's justification of his job performance reeks of desperation. Seeing Cal's success is clearly getting under his skin. And, by the way, injuries to key players aren't that exceptional. Just ask PK.

Speaking of free throws, glad to see Berry get that monkey off her back, although ft misses still almost cost us the game. We certainly have better games in us, particularly from Berry, and I hope they come out vs. Michigan. And maybe start her vs. bringing her off the bench.

Thoughts from game today. Walz coached a good game. Called a couple timeouts that may've prevented turnovers. After we missed the second to last free throw, I'm wondering if we missed the second one on purpose, which I don't hate, because it prevents them from getting organized.

@BradyCards An independent body, the NCAA, decided Louisville had a better season and rewarded them by seeding them higher. Kentucky needed a miracle to beat Santa Clara. Pope is their KP and Kentucky fans know it. No idea why you don't.

@Cardzman86 Bro I hate uk with the passion of 1000 suns. The ACC was a joke last year, the SEC has been the best conference in basketball 2 years running. Sure they spent a lot and it’s embarrassing but they still had more quality wins than us. For the moment Pope is better. Reread my post

@BradyCards Kelsey made his conference championship and was coach of the year last year. Pope not so much. PK beat Kentucky and was the higher NCAA seed this year. Not to mention that Pope has a $22 million roster and Kelsey doesn't. There are better coaches than PK. Pope isn't one of them.

@CardN_AL You make a point. As they say, the opposite of love isn't hate ... it's apathy. For the first time in my five decades of fandom, I was apathetic during KP's last season. That's no longer the case .

Not my favorite season ever, but we finally got the NCAAT monkey off our back. They fought till the very end. I stood on my feet for entire games. I screamed obscenities at my tv. I was stressed out again. Thank you so much for that #GoCards

I'm so frustrated with this officiating. Grabbing the ball like that in the first round was a jump ball.
