Dear Toronto Blue Jays fans at Rogers Centre: Thank you for (mostly) playing it classy tonight, and resisting the temptation to boo the American anthem. While I'm as livid at America as you are, I'm glad you didn't. Because I noticed some American players on our team were singing the Canadian anthem, with reverence, and solemn respect. Your decision to take the high road made it easier for them to do that. You created a beautiful, powerful moment of mutual respect. You reminded me our problem is with Donald Trump, and not most Americans. Bravo. #BlueJays

Thanks for always sharing history Wayne. Didn't know Oku's full story at all. His name and the Light of Saba band rang a bell, but Wikipedia provided more of his history!

Oku Onuora, born Orlando Wong 74 years ago today on 9 Mar 1952, in #Kingston. The first dub poet; began writing in prison 1971; performed with The Light of Saba 1974, while serving 15 year sentence for armed robbery. The vast majority of Jamaicans are good and kind people. Visited my ex in-law today and ended up moved to tears. Her birthday was Tuesday and she went to the Tax Office in St. Ann’s Bay. After climbing the stairs she became breathless. A gentleman who walks the floor and a security guard quickly helped her to a seat and offered water. When she said she felt an asthma attack coming on, two men who were waiting in line immediately offered to go get her inhaler😢 The manager ensured the security guard stayed with her. When she said she uses Seretide, the guard said she had one as well, rushed for it and gave her two puffs. She was teary-eyed telling me how God used ppl to take care of her. In a world where negativity spreads fast, stories like this remind me: Jamaica still full of good, kind people. Bless God 🙌

The Jamaica 4-man bobsled team 🇯🇲 of Shane Pitter, Junior Harris, Tyquendo Tracey and Joel Fearon completed their #WinterOlympics campaign just outside of the top 20 medal round with a 3rd round time of 55.45. They finished 21st overall with a combined time of 2:46.02. 🖤💚💛
