Star Trek through the years- TOS: “Hey, this really diverse group of people is really good at their jobs. It’s something to aspire to.” TNG/VOY/DS9: “Hey, this really diverse group of people, which even includes old enemies, is really good at their jobs. It’s something to aspire to.” ENT: “These people that are brand new at this job are good at it, and they’re good at getting a diverse group of people to work together to do it. It’s something to aspire to.” NuTrek: “This group of idiots is really diverse, and that’s okay, because they’re so diverse!” Can we please understand why one of these is being rejected by fans of the franchise?

@DrFrankTurek ESV. The beauty of Kimg James, with greater accuracy. I like to use the Lutheran Study Bible version for all the great footnotes.

@ZitoSalena @jpodhoretz @JonahDispatch I always wanted to try it and ended up making it at home. I really enjoyed the contrast of hot meringue and cold ice cream. Part of the charm is the freaking feeling that comes when putting ice cream in the oven.

Six years ago ahead of an interview in DC I was at a restaurant when I ran into @jpodhoretz and @JonahDispatch sitting at a table right beside --while I didn't know either very well, actually, I didn't know them at all other than seeing them on social media, I nonetheless went over & said hi at their table, then sat for what was only going to be for a brief second to introduce myself. Moments before going over to say hi while looking at the menu, I fulfilled a childhood curiosity by ordering Baked Alaska which had been on the cover of one of my grandmother's magazines. I always wanted to know what it tasted like because it looks so intriguing and different but I never quite found any place in my travels since becoming an adult to order it. Even when I went to Alaska, they didn't serve baked Alaska! So of course I ordered it. The waiter assuming I was now sitting with them brought it over to John and Jonah's booth -- while neither politely said anything I'm sure they thought it was the most peculiar thing for someone to order in the middle of the afternoon. I quickly moved back to my seat with my flaming baked Alaska. (photo of my actual baked Alaska and I actually found the magazine cover from household magazine with the baked Alaska on the front cover). You guys I begged my grandmother to make this-- she only had the magazine because our church took donations for old women's magazines, and then kept them in the back for people to take home back then.

I’m beginning to think that Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens may be possessed by actual demons. I don’t say that lightly.

Let me get this straight. There's SNAP fraud, EBT fraud, Medicaid and Medicare fraud, home healthcare fraud, daycare fraud, medical transportation fraud, and hospice fraud, but definitely, absolutely no election fraud?

@mehdirhasan Iranians are literaly calling in fire on their leaders. The majority of the population is begging us to take out their government. But you are so ill-informed that you try to tell us that we are "dehumanizing" the Iranians rather than liberating them.

Anime is popular BECAUSE it’s different from western entertainment and it already outsells American comic books. Trying to turn it into an American cartoon will do nothing but ruin the medium

Can Muslims stop saying Jesus was a Muslim or Palestinian? Jesus was a Jew, born in Bethlehem, and lived in Judea. Islam didn't exist.

.@tedcruz voices to @triggerpod what so many of us are feeling. He’s not going to sit idly by while his party is transformed. “I’ve resolved that I’m not going to sit quietly and watch my party destroyed by the same forces that have destroyed the Democrat Party. I don’t want to wake up in five years and find both national parties in the United States unequivocally anti-Israel & viciously antisemitic… And I’m going to do everything humanly possible to stop that from happening.”

Some schools in Germany will not have music lessons because they don't want to offend sensibilities of Muslims, who consider music a grave sin. It sounds like a joke but it's not.

@harukaawake Wanting to raise healthy children is a sign of imperialism? So what, we should stuff our children with potato chips lest they overrun neighboring nations? Or perhaps become gender study teachers?
