Different salaries should only affect how luxurious your life is, not your food quality or ability to afford rent. If you work 40 hours at any job, your income should be enough to live in the town you work in. Thinking otherwise is an abysmal indicator of your humanity.

Some of you take these jobs way too seriously😭. Why are you snitching on coworkers, skipping breaks, coming in on your days off, and refusing to use your PTO or call out? Especially for jobs with little to no room for growth.

I will never understand how so many of y’all were hoodwinked into believing the government should not use the money you pay in taxes to create a social safety net that benefits you, fund public healthcare, lower housing costs, and make daily life more affordable.

My educational background is in law but I also agree we have too many lawyers in Bahamian politics; as well as a myriad of officials working in positions they have absolutely no background in. It’s still insane that we had a MOH with no medical background during the pandemic

Not sure who needs to hear this, but ADHD does NOT mean you are hyperactive. While some ADHDers are hyperactive, there’s a whole other presentation of ADHD called Predominantly Inattentive, which is more common in women and doesn’t look hyperactive at all.

Bahamian culture is beautiful, layered and rich. It does a masterful job at marrying the influences from Britian, the Colonial U.S. South and West/Central Africa. Notwithstanding that, Bahamians are taught to showcase Americanised charicatures of themselves to American tourists.

I really dislike how everything is just assumed to be in Nassau, because locations often aren’t fully specified, especially which island something is on. If it’s from another island, you’ll usually see the island listed, but if it’s from Nassau, I rarely even see Nassau mentioned

I’m at the age now where people keep trying to fearmonger me into having babies to avoid a “geriatric pregnancy.” And I have to look them dead in the face and tell them I do not want to. That’s something they need to work through on their own, 'cause I’m at peace with my decision
