I was interviewed by Sam a couple times. Great guy. I had a small part in Secretariat and he mentioned me in his review. Years later when we spoke at the Critic’s Choice Awards I thanked him for that mention. He was surprised that I remembered. But it meant a lot to tell him. RIP
