Not so GM. It’s with a heavy heart and a touch of bittersweet emotion that I share this news: after much reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel #CastleParty2025. This was anything but an easy choice, especially given the unforgettable moments, friendships formed, and so many laughs we’ve shared at these events. I’m incredibly proud of what the previous Castle Parties have achieved: bringing together hundreds of degens from around the world and raising a massive $175,000 for Maggie’s cancer support charity in honour of our good friend @money_alotta. Despite best efforts, ticket sales this year have been slow, and securing sponsorships has proven challenging. Combined with the significant financial burden of subsidising a large portion of the event costs each year and the 4–5 months of planning required, I realised it was no longer feasible to continue the event. While the Castle Party was never about profit, the time and energy it demands have taken a toll, particularly on my creative journey. In some ways, these challenges have been a blessing in disguise. It’s time for me to prioritise my art and well-being. At the end of the day, I’m an artist, not an event coordinator. As I close this chapter, I’m excited to embark on a new adventure: a ground-breaking solo exhibition planned for the 2026 Edinburgh Festival. It’s been years since my last traditional gallery show, CryptoDisruption in 2018, and the ideas for this new project have been taking shape in my mind for some time. For the first time since 2021, and the beginning of the Castle Party adventure, I can focus 100% on my art. Feels good, man. To everyone who has supported the Castle Party, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have absolutely no regrets about creating one of the most extraordinary Web3 events celebrating art, history, culture, community, and tech. I’m deeply grateful for the friendships and memories we’ve built together. Ticket refunds will be issued promptly this week. And don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere! I’ll just be spending more time in my studio painting, and I can’t wait to share what’s next. Love to all of you. 🫂
