Misconception is that you go to JUCO cause your grades are bad or it’s your second chance to bounce back. It’s an opportunity to add to your resume and mature!!!!

This would get challenged so fast it would make your head spin…..
But let’s say in Crazy World they got it through….post grads would cease to exist.
If you’re going to lose a year of eligibility you might as well do it at a JUCO (if you’re good enough to get one).

The NCAA is exploring a significant change to its eligibility rule, per Yahoo Sports’ @RossDellenger. Next week, an NCAA committee will discuss a new age-based standard for athlete eligibility that would grant athletes five full years of eligibility from the time of their 19th birthday or their high school graduation. No waiver requests, redshirts or exceptions will be permitted, except for a small group of outliers (those on maternity leave, military service or religious missions).

Saw a tweet say don’t let a coach “scare” you into committing! That’s true.
But the numbers say waiting could result in you being at home in August!

With only 5,607 Division I players total, more than half of the player pool is now in the portal.

Move with caution. The portal is open. 60% of the players in the portal end up at a lower level or no level. Be careful.

Biggest mistake in 2026 recruiting:
Players ignore NAIA, JUCO, USCAA opportunities… then end up with nothing.
Put your ego aside and develop where you’re wanted. Go where you can play, improve, and prove yourself.
Dominate your level - the next one will come.
