@AdamDandy It is sad when they pass. But they obviously left you with such great memories which you obviously cherish. What a gift they gave give you. Fantastic that they make you happy 😊
Every Sunday we would come to this house to visit my nan and grandad in Prestatyn.
They’d make us the best roast dinner EVER! I’d run into the kitchen, he’d be there cutting the turkey.
We would go for a walk along the beach after lunch, then fall asleep on the sofa in the lounge with the sun beaming through, we’d play cards, watch LFC, until it was time for Bullseye, The Antique’s Roadshow and Last of the Summer Wine, then we’d say goodbye, drive back home to Chester, dreading school the next day.
At the time I thought those days would last forever.
Last wk I went to visit a customer in Prestatyn and found myself just sitting outside again, just remembering them and picturing their faces.
Life is so precious.
It's easy to overanalyse football, but the difference between Liverpool beating Wolves and losing to them was solely down to Szoboszlai getting rid of the corn rows.
We’ve been pretty quiet since the reds form has dropped off,so any retweets shares and like are always appreciated as this is our only form of advertising, don’t forget we could be in a final in Budapest soon and also an fa cup final so get stocked up on your LFC t shirts from hat-scarf-or-a-badge.com
I’m sorry @ITV, I’m not quite sure what I just saw there, but it looked like you were trying to play an advert side by side with a live sporting event.
Please don’t ever do that again.
I picked up a few of the Menai Suspension Bridge Bicentenary souvenir coins this morning, ready to send to some bridge-loving friends. You can buy them for £5 (cash) each at the MB Town Council office at the Coed Cyrnol car park (9am-1pm, Mon-Thurs). facebook.com/permalink.php?…

SOS! Storm Chandra snatched away our ancient caravan’s skylight and smashed it to bits on the ground. It is called DOMETIC HEKI 2. Anyone know where we can get a 2 hand one?
@AngleseyHist Not wishing to distract from your work . But this book is a great read for anyone interested in Telford .( I am sure u are probably aware).
@LiverpoolVista Still a great pub for a pint. Personally, not quite sure about the style of the internal refurb. But still thankful that the pub is still pen. there are loads of seat for a quiet pint and chat. No blaring music. Thanks to the staff, for good service with a smile and helpful.
The Midland, corner of Ranelagh Street and Cases Street, Liverpool.
A proper piece of Victorian marketing genius. Built around 1875, it was a flagship "Gin Palace" for Walker’s of Warrington. If you look at the windows in the second photo, you can still see the original copper straps across the glass that proudly read "WALKER’S WARRINGTON." They wanted to make sure you knew exactly whose pint you were drinking😀
Grade ll listed.
@BygoneBritain@VinnieSull1van@Britains___Pubs I am not 100% . But I believe this is one of the slate quarries in Cymru. Possibly Blaenau Ffestiniog. I know for a fact that they used these sort of carts in some the quarries there. I think they were called 'car gwyllt" wild car . @AmgueddfaLechi
CHINESE FIGHTING SUIT
I can remember being issued the original fighting suit in the 70s’ and I also remember saying…what a piece of crap, I'll never wear that! COMBAT LINER SMOCK COLD WEATHER was, in my opinion, the biggest waste of space in my kit bag. Called a Chinese fighting suit because they were great to wear when entering the local Chinese restaurant, for a little kung fu fighting. The truth is the material they were made out of resembled the padded jackets the Chinese warriors wore back in the day.
I don't think it ever came out of my locker. NBC suit, combat jacket, jumper, shirt KF, long johns and vest were enough to keep me warm thanks. Handed it in at the end of my service never used. Some of the lads did wear them and thought they were great. Not me, I’m sure they were designed to make the whole platoon look like a bunch of twats. A new, improved version came later, and I hear it was quite popular.
BULLIES AND BULLSHIT 2 Warning! If easily offended, I really do advise you not to read this book. clivewardauthor.com

Is this your scarf from last night? Found on the floor near to the entrance in 306, would love to reunite it with its owner as it looks quite old too. There are other ways to identify it so no chancers please!
Today a family member had a serious work accident. The response of the @WelshAmbulance service was superb. TY to the despatcher, and all those who attended at Pensarn today, it could not have been better. The patient is not in danger &doing as well as expected. Diolch yn fawr
So let me get this straight. Victim of the post office scandal Janet Skinner is offered just 15% of her compensation claim.
Yet the disgraceful human that is Paula Vennells walks away with £millions in bonus payments. Disgusting.

It was still in English hands in 1404 when the towers were burnt red by Owain Glyndŵr. Without a garrison to protect it, the town became entirely Welsh once more.
