I just paid $199 for an assessment tool for screening candidates before calling them for interviews. Then, out of curiosity, I went on YouTube to see their reviews. The top 3-6 videos were about how to cheat the system using different tools.

Got cheated on by their resume? If only there was a way to screen them before interview…

Just did a notebook-based coding assignment in Coderbyte, and the platform is a total joke. 1st try, the notebook froze halfway through the assignment, then a black screen, not even a way to download my work. Restarting didn't fix anything. 2nd try, everything worked UNTIL I tried to submit the solution. Then Coderbyte just failed to save the notebook, and (AFAIK) just submitted an empty one instead. Manual saving didn't work throughout the assignment, either.

Me: how long until you hit $1M in revenue? They: 3 years. We didn't monetize for the first 2, and then went 0 to $1M in a year. Me: why didn't you monetize for the first 2? They: because we wanted to raise VC money, so needed to show rapid growth, and growing from 0 to $1M in a year looks much better. Perverse incentives ftw.

@jason_tyler_sea That's used for when candidates copy/paste whole solutions from another website. Our system can detect the difference between copying a one-line UUID and a 25-line solution from another website. Feel free to email us and we can take a look at your report.
