This is the same variety of jingoistic hubris that lead to the Russian military getting its teeth kicked in 30km outside of Kyiv.
99% of USMC’s successful reputation is a product of its very smart and very aggressive war planners (arguably the best in DoD), and I can almost guarantee to you and everyone else that they’re looking at this proposed operation and trying their best not to look at the White House and tell them to “go fuck yourselves with a rusty pipe.”

Kuwait Army:
Kuwaiti air defenses are currently confronting hostile missile and drone attacks.
The General Staff of the Army notes that if explosion sounds are heard, they result from the air defense systems intercepting the hostile attacks.
Everyone is requested to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities.

Now the US will go back and think of how to defeat drones and keep their carriers safe.
This is the edge that the US Military have over China.
Chinese Military is yet to engage in modern warfare like the US have done in Iraq, Afghanistan and now Iran, and as such taking on a developed country like Taiwan will not be as easy as they think.
Again, US will not fight China in an open conflict, except China invades Taiwan or North Korea invades South Korea, they will do as they have always done with Great Powers - Look for chokepoints, as was done with USSR.
