In 1979, I gave Ring Magazine's "Fighter of the Year" Award to Sugar Ray Leonard, who was 9-0 that year. I don't understand why so many feel this year it's Bud Crawford, who was 1-0. He gets "Performance of the Year." Fighter Award goes to 4-0 Naoya Inoue. @dougiefischer

Don’t love the stoppage. The final sequence, the first punch was a grazing blow and the second and third didn’t land. Poor timing by the ref to jump in there and then. Both boxers showed tremendous heart.

@Canelo Deontay Wilder can learn something about humility from listening to Canelo. The.commission didn't tamper with the gloves...the ref wasn't drunk...Canelo's cornerman didn't poison his water. Canelo went out like a champ.

I just visited the champ in his place. He will soon start his vacation with his family. He has 2 fights left with @RiyadhSeason in ’26. We offered him to work with us until he quits and retires. The @IBHOF should change the category "Non-Participant" to a name such as "Contributor." I also believe two non-champions, @gerrycooney & George Chuvalo, should be inducted. No non-champ has ever carried as much popularity decades after retirement as Cooney. @ringmagazine
