[7:30 PM] A cold front moving down through the region is sparking showers out ahead of it. These showers are what we'll be watching for potential thunderstorm development later this evening as they progress southeast.

Hollis hit 100F today for the first triple-digit on the Mesonet since August 28 of last year! Also tied for the 2nd-highest temp ever recorded on a March 20 in Oklahoma (102 was tops at several sites back in 1907). Summer's off and running! #okwx #okmesonet

Well damn… advertising oneself as an “expert” with “2+” years [of] experience is… something… So is advertising with the NWS logo *and* using AI-generated photos (surely an expert of 2 years would have photos of their own, no?)… Hope there’s a good waiver.

A wispy, multi-vortex tornado near Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, on November 7, 2011.
This was one of at least seven tornadoes we saw from the storm.
Just a couple of hours later, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake shook the same area.

Saw this in 6th grade and I have yet to see a wedge that has impressed me more. Honestly might be one of the most underrated tornadoes ever. (Stratton, NE EF-4 - June 15, 1990)

NGL its fun watching my own bubble try to remain in the hook. I wanted to get east of the railroad tracks ahead of time because I've been burned by being stuck by trains before lol. Weatherwise is simply the best
