Welcome to #ConservativeHour As the world grows more dangerous and unpredictable, the Conservatives have pledged to strengthen our army and reserves. That said, UK defence also faces a range of other challenges. What threats worry you the most, and how can these be addressed?

I am going to defend military housing here. I know there are some problems and definitely more could be spent on some of them. In fact in the area we just left, there was a big project going on. But I have always loved all of my married quarters. I am not an Officer's wife, just a plain old squaddie's one, but I have never really had any major issues, and I have lived in quarters for most of my adult life. Salary - it ain't so bad Pension - ditto Govt standing behind service people - hmm... Great suport when service ends - it is about Free private healthcare would be blooming marvellous lol.

A very interesting topic and something which is close to my heart. Well mainly as a mil wife of course. I don't know too much about anything else to do with the military these days. For me, the big question is this: if the UK is a global power, why don’t we have our own version of an “iron dome” style defence system? The world is becoming more unstable by the day, and we need to start thinking seriously about homeland defence, not just overseas commitments. God forbid we ever become a target — but if we do, we must be ready with advanced missile defence, strong air defence systems, and proper investment in national security. Strengthening the army is important, but protecting the homeland itself should be a top priority. 🇬🇧 #ConservativeHour

MI5 MI6 NCA maxed out. I'd cut masses of civil service and relocate to home agencies. Also cut out charities that dont serve homeland resilience.
