@TravisRodgers And although he didn’t have the best World Series he gutted these games out for his team and that says a lot. We wouldn’t be in this series without him.
@Smallvillefreek@Corporate_Greg There are varying degrees of separation. In this case there was subluxation but initial reports are good strength and good range of motion.
@CoreyTarne@Corporate_Greg A separation is torn ligaments around the AC joint. There’s no way he’s gonna play high level baseball with that injury. Dislocation COULD have tears too, but is more likely to leave him able to play.
#Ohtani. Key structure that keeps shoulder in place is called the labrum. KLAPPERVISION is an O ring around a golf tee holding the golf ball from falling and dislocating!
@Smallvillefreek@Corporate_Greg Disagree that he’d be done from a separation. Not saying he won’t but I don’t think that automatically precludes him playing. If he can swing a bat he can play.
@CoreyTarne@Corporate_Greg Really depends. If it’s a separation, then he’s done. If it’s a dislocation, then there’s multiples factors. X-ray to check for fracture, mri to check for tears, and if that’s clear he’d still need to see if he can play through any swelling, discomfort, and pain.
Imagine you're the Yankees and you ended up in a low-scoring game, bottom of the 10th, against a team that just scored 743 runs in their last series. You're feeling good about yourself and then you realize you gotta pitch to all of the Power Rangers to leave there with a win.

Come on Walker! Keep it as is and show being a big game pitcher
@NWischoff Very interested to hear about your interest in LA as a startup ecosystem. Working in martech for the last 17 years as an Angeleno I rarely feel like my town has the buzz, infrastructure and people like other smaller tech bubbles, i.e. Seattle, Portland, Austin, Boston, etc
Kicking off our Wischoff Ventures at a Steakhouse Dinner Series in LA this week. One per quarter. Founders and fellow GPs welcome. Pretty simple - must eat steak and enjoy good wine. LMK if you would like to join. NYC up next.
@businessbarista Maybe something super short-form like a daily/weekly 15 minute livestream a la Instagram/TikTok live--people can ask questions and the subject-matter-expert can simply try to respond to as many questions as possible. Q&A + Social Interaction.
@APompliano VCs will start deploying capital again so companies can look to scale. There is no growth when everyone has to pinch pennies staring at their burn rate every week.
The Fed jacked up interest rates at the fastest pace in history and sold nearly $2 trillion off their balance sheet, yet stocks are still at all-time highs.
Today we get a regime change back to cheap, easy money flowing through the system.
