@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz forced english catholics to take an oath infavor of the king as the ultimate authority and not the pope. He only really tollerated them after that oath and started the english form of crypto catholics who professed aligence to england but practiced faith in hiding.
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz even if the palestinians WERE the philistines theyre no longer the enemy of God's chosen people well atleast the non muslim ones... The rest like all non followers are sheep lead astray from the shepherd and are redeemable so long as they repent their wicked ways.
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz well when youre keeping in mind of the timeline pre christ its important to make that known. Those that were fighting the philistines are now the followers of christ in my eyes as they are gods chosen. The ones that became the modern jews lost the plot along the way so...
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz well keep in mind thats the one that was used to unify Scottland and England so its validity is questionable. In the same vein, henry the 8th later made the church of england and had his own bible published to break the depedency on rome that James built.
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz I would also like you to keep in mind when you talk about "Gods chosen" It no longer is the jews. Its us. The followers of the Messiah Jesus Christ. They forfited that title when they rejected Christ and our shared history ends there. Anything further is just the cabal of evil.
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz I urge you to study more denominational theology. You say you follow the bible but you have to keep in mind *what* bible. These stories have fact but a lot of that has been blured by the will of man to achieve their own goals. Especially among the Europeans and later Americans.
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz yeah essentially, and they went to war with israel and lost. Later under babylon they were nearly genocided. I guess you could say there probably still were some floating around when palestine is involved by the root palestina is more so a shitpost because rome hated jews.
@CrixCoTM@AyshaSusmaz I thought the Philistines were people who came from Canaan at some point and made their own country like the other Gentiles would have done.
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz The jewish people of the old testament and todays jews are entirely divided by those who eventually followed Christ during his life and those who betrayed him. Those that became modern jews severed the heritage with the old testament jews their ancestors rejected christ
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz Correct and the misconception there being that todays israeli jews have any connection to the jews in the Old testament. More so while it was a callback to the philistines, the ethnicgroups that remained in the levant when arabs joined in would be those from benjamin and judah
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz where in the bible does it say that that people who decend from 2 of the original 12 tribes of israel are actually philistines? Im a little confused here. by the time "arabs" by a modern standard entered the gene pool the territory was mostly greeks cannans and jews.
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz i thought you were just going with "a what" to discredit the idea of a palestinian as a whole given your insistance to refer to us as philistines
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz Yeah ok my mistake then, I get that a lot but if you think about it it shouldnt be. Palestine has been around longer than islam has existed, there are also palestinian jews since their religion is passed down via the mother so you just need to marry one.
@realMWO@AyshaSusmaz what youre saying is very Evangelical in theme which from my understanding of their beliefs see the wars between the Israeli and arab world as prophetic labelong the arabs and mainly palestinians as "philistines"
