@thegarybrecka I run 40 miles a week. Carb fueling during runs of 30+ minutes and I never go catabolic. Protein after long runs. i also lift heavy 2x weekly. This well balanced approach is why I stayed jacked and can also run marathons and sub 60 400ms

Chronic cardio is one of the most overprescribed tools in fitness.
Long, slow miles every day can increase oxidative stress, elevate cortisol, and break down muscle over time.
If longevity is your goal, muscle is the asset. Not mileage.
Upgrade your training:
- 2 to 3 strength sessions per week
- 1 to 2 short interval sessions
- daily walking, not endless running
Train for performance, not punishment.

$qure there was a 25% chance of this so unfortunately was the worst possible scenario. It’s just the way things go sometimes. Added in the 8s so I’m sticking around to play the long game. The blowback from the HD community is about to get ugly.

@medstudentinvst @CryptoProJoe Agreed with your point, though I do think Makary was basically casting unnecessary fear about side effects that eventually recovered, for a therapy that ultimately has been shown to be safe/tolerable. Bad form to create this type of fear as commish
