About Blockworks shutting down their news division: Tbh, you didn't have to be a rocket scientist to see this would happen sooner or later. The same is true for eg. CoinDesk. Crypto news have changed a lot over the years, and I feel what was the kicker was the arrival of Tree of Alpha, @tier10k, and later Tree News. They provided speed and made news mainstream for CT. For non-BREAKING news we're already well covered from different newsletters and Telegram channels from VCs and KOLs. For speedy news just follow these accounts and channels: 1. @zoomerfied and TG: t.me/ZoomerfiedNews 2. @AggrNews and TG: t.me/AGGRNEWSWIRE 3. t.me/infinityhedge You could also include Solid Intel and Wu Blockchain into the mix here, but I think the 3 above covers the most. And just to end this, not trying to mock Blockworks here, and I am sure these people will find similar positions or other roles.

Had the best time talking all things crypto comms at @PubKey_NYC last week alongside @KeithGrossman @aubreystrobel and @elenanisonoff. Top takeaways included: - The media is approaching blockchain as a vertical beat when it's really horizontal--shaping all aspects of art, culture, and of course, finance. That creates challenges for comms people who want to win over reporters covering different beats. - When considering using new buzzwords, meet your audience where they are and ditch the jargon unless it's a crypto-native product. - Misinformation travels FAST in crypto. Make sure you have a plan in place to correct the facts quickly. So honored to be included and excited for what Aubrey and Elena are building with @Halcyon !!
