@IdVilchez Literally just did a moderate dive into the literature for both doxy and azithro in lieu of tetracycline and clarithromycin. There seems to be enough data that that tetra and clarithro should be retired or at least doxy and azithro as viable substitutes

#IDTwitter in the realm of tetracyclines: What is the real difference between tetracycline vs. doxycycline vs. minocycline? Not to mention tigecycline and eravacycline? What are their uniqueness and specific niche? Why for H. Pylori, I can not substitute tetracycline for doxy?

@transplnt_mdphd It fulfills the basic needs of the manual one, but does it in much, much less time. Making pasta used to take a chunk of the day if I did it for a dinner party, but with the KitchenAid I can do it in about 2 hours. If I’m doing a dinner for 2, likely an hour.

In other news, I bought the pasta maker attachment for my KitchenAid and this is either really good or… well, mediocre but fun. Tips?

@rheum_cat I think it also depends on how, what, and who you engage with. I think there are fruitful ways to be online that avoid the toxicity as it currently stands while still having a distinct voice that expresses you interests and not just posting or reposting pablum.

Faculty, reiterating this point. Because of social media, many opportunities have opened for me. And in turn I’ve opened many opportunities for others. May it continue to do so. I started being chronically online as a 13 yr old in the early 2000s and I don’t know any other life!
