I don’t think people understand that even the “surge” of players is no where near enough, you have to sustain much large numbers in DAU and MAU and they haven’t had that for a long time. It’s sad but it’s the reality. Their leadership gutted the studio.

After the Bungie layoffs are completed and it becomes clear that Sony hasn’t green-lit anything to continue the franchise, I think there’s going to be a ripple effect that people may not be fully considering. One thing I expect to see is videos from players canceling their PlayStation Plus subscriptions. I’m already seeing comments across my social media. It feels like there could have been a better way to handle this situation. The PlayStation ecosystem will change, I have no idea how little or how much.
