Concern about radiation exposure is a known reason why women do not go in to cardiology. We're about to change that. Announcing the launch of "Radiation Safety in the Practice of Cardiology: What All Women Should Know." Please share it widely. rad.womenasone.org

1️⃣ of 2️⃣ 4 yrs of med school & 7 yrs of training later... I GRADUATED‼️ I started this journey with uncertainty and with clarity I pursued my dreams. I took the path less traveled and am now an interventional cardiologist (also the first female to graduate our IC program)#WIC

As a soon to be IC fellow, I worry like the rest of my peers, re training in COVID era. ➖: Lmtd volume +Lmtd resources = ?less hands on exp ➕: More time for in depth theoretical teaching/learning Greater access to online resources Innovation in simulation methods

I feel lucky every morning to wake up and know I have the potential of helping someone. Then there is this... How can we make medicine/cardiology more attractive to women and how do we retain them?
Brave Enough MD@RUBraveEnough

Medicine: I am concerned. I coach/speak/lead tens of thousands of women physicians. In the last 3 yrs, I am seeing so many leaders, experts, talented clinicians,& innovators leave medicine. After decades of training - they leave. What is most shocking: they tried to stay.👇
