WATCH: Residents of Milo Mbili and Bugembe in Jinja District discovered the body of an unidentified person in an open manhole early this morning. Boda boda riders, who have long warned about the danger posed by the uncovered manhole, say it has existed for over five years, leaving several people injured, some permanently. The latest tragedy sparked anger, prompting riders to temporarily block the busy Jinja–Iganga Highway in protest. Police quickly intervened, retrieved the body and took it to Jinja City Mortuary as investigations get underway. Residents are now calling for urgent action to prevent further loss of life. #MonitorUpdates 📹: Isaac Kintu
