@ZulfiKarSinemin Britain committed an iellaglity - proceeds to talk about Turkish conquests, yes I’m sure the majority Greek population at the time totally saw that as legal.

Oh you ignorant Greeks, you constantly spread propaganda saying Turkey is an occupier in Cyprus. Turkey conquered Cyprus 400 years ago, during the Ottoman era, and ruled Cyprus for 300 years. Oh you ignorant Greeks, don't you ever read history books, or do you always speak with your farts? Cyprus remained under Ottoman rule for over 300 years, from 1571 to 1878. Conquered from the Venetians by the army under the command of Lala Mustafa Pasha during the reign of Selim II, the island was temporarily ceded to Great Britain in 1878 with the Treaty of Berlin, and annexed by Great Britain in 1914. England committed an illegality in Cyprus and, instead of returning the temporarily annexed Cyprus to the Ottoman Empire as it should have, it gave it to Greece. In this case, you Greeks are the occupiers.

@AydOlgun @suyusekicen No. Kicking them out was wrong. Considering anatolia a Turkish majority and not partitioning it was fine. Same should apply to Cyprus - Greek majority so part of Greece/ enosis where TCs stay. You didn’t accept Anatolia being partitioned why should we accept Cyprus?

@Dailyhellenic @suyusekicen Moors were a really tiny minority, hence Spain remaining christian and reconquista being so succesful. Turks have been a significant minority in Cyprus, hence the island not being completely Greek. But by your logic, Turks were justified in kicking Greeks out of Anatolia?

Ahh mate no did we kill your grandpa's buddies while they were trying to do invade our land? Well, you won't be getting apologies for that, cunt.
Chris Para@MyStep60669153

@DrewPavlou I am so glad you say this, Drew. Not many do. The Turks killed the ANZACs. Where are the apologies and compensation for the Ottoman Empire's killings, oppression, and Christian slavery—which the ANZACs tried to break at Gallipoli? And they still occupy illegally a part of Cyprus.

@Dailyhellenic @fatihshn_44 @AlbinoAlbedo Türkler'in hepsi hiçbir zaman tamamen çekik gözlü olmadı amcık seni.

@AydOlgun @suyusekicen No - that’s my point. Cyprus was still Greek because of its Greek majority population despite Venetian and Turkish rule. So in 1955, enosis was justified and Cyprus was a Greek island.

@Dailyhellenic @suyusekicen Spain, under Moor rule, still had a christian majority and the small muslim population was mostly local converts. Moors didn't migrate to Spain, they were just a small ruling class. Did Cyprus become Italian because Venetians ruled over it?

@Dailyhellenic @suyusekicen It is our land by being there for more than a thousand years and for defending it. Also you seriously think that Christians have eternal right to Anatolia even though it was Christian once?

@suyusekicen The greatest mistake made is not wiping the Turks out in this war. Now you spend your time opening front kebab shops in European cities and trafficking white children - thats the reality. You have nothing to be proud of.

@suyusekicen Conquest doesn’t have a time limit. Turks don’t keep to agreements anyway. In the time of the First World War it was very much alive, as were empires. So if the Christian powers wanted to reconquest it, they could. 100 years later, it would be theres by your own logic.

We came to this land, we conquered it, we settled on it, we built on it at a time world used to run like that. So by any metric it was and still is our land. If someone else came and conquered it then it would have been their land. So if anyone feels like they have a right to

Turks deluded themselves into believing they built Europe. As guest workers. The reality is that Turks present a welfare burden, just like other migrants to Europe. And they commit disproportionately more violent crimes and rapes compared to native Europeans. (Graphs attached: Jonatan Pallesen)

@KanBarlas @DailyTurkic The trojans are semi mythical. It’s not even known if they were real, but the Greeks saw them as other Greeks. We had our food long before your eyes went from slits to round. You are despicable because in western cities you drain our welfare and rape our women in gangs.

@Bansheee4 @DailyTurkic There are Greek settlements in Ionia which predate even the Hittite languages themselves. To say all Anatolians were non Greek is inaccurate especially that far back when identities hadn’t formed and there were proto-Greeks

@Dailyhellenic @DailyTurkic nothing to note. All historians know this.Hellenic expansion and decline of local anatolian languages. Ancient greeks came with greater administriation technology and slowly overtook anatolia and assimilated local people .

@DailyTurkic This is the crux of the problem. The Turks are too entitled. They expect others to be minorities in their borders but won’t have it for their own in other countries. Everyone must recognise it’s this greed that let Cyprus be where it is.

@EK_GeoPolitics It was in 1571 that the Turks annexed Cyprus from Venice. Venice had taken it from the French Crusaders, the Lusignans, who had taken Cyprus from the Mamluks. By the way, the Mamluks were also Turkic. So remember there were hardly any Greeks in Cyprus when the Turks arrived.

Today marks the anniversary of Russia's formal annexation of Crimea. • Crimea is the historic homeland of the Crimean Tatars. • In 1944, Joseph Stalin deported millions of Tatars in a single operation, nearly half died in exile. • After Russian invasion in 2014, thousands again fled repression, arrests, and bans on their institutions.
