This newly-published paper on #ketones and #AlzheimersDisease is interesting for a couple reasons: 1. It highlights the effect of amyloid plaques on neuron mitochondrial function (e.g., increasing oxidative stress, etc.); 2. Reveals that ketones (beta-hydroxybutyrate) are capable of mitigating these effects, including inhibiting plaque-induced #inflammation. Morning 20 years ago today I was sectioned for the 1st time it was a horrible experience too detailed to put on a social media post. The publicity it received went Worldwide I was front page news for the wrong reason TV crews at my door, helicopter overhead. I'm told that from that day Mental health issues suddenly were not swept under the carpet, & hushed up. The only positive from that day for me is the awareness of Mental Health all over the UK. My main problem there is still lots of talk but far more actions need to be taken & our Government need to put their hand in their pockets & actually address Mental Health issues properly not just talk about it.

Working in the theatre away from home, and just couldn’t face another cold sandwich in my hot digs. There’s something rather Romantic about eating out alone. Especially when you have @MrStanleyTucci casually sitting beside you.
