@grazyfarmer 24 years old, home now 1.5yrs. Although I was lucky enough to expand to a second block, I’m at a stage where you want to be able to drive on and look at as many opportunities when young. Even the thought of doing a business plan now is almost pointless until we get some clarity !

Padraig French shows data from 2023 calf markets. Calf age had no bearing on price but weight had a significant effect on price of calves sold. 2024 focus should be health and weight gain of calves in the first 2-3 weeks and breed for higher beef merits @POSITIVEFARMERS
