Ask Peter Obi what is his take on Niger invasion by ECOWAS... And his take won't be far from this!!! PO, in his voice... Let me tell you, you have to tackle a problem from the root. First of all, what causes the military coup in Niger, bad governance!! When the people are not getting the dividends of democracy it tends to push them to their limits.. It is not a rocket science, start creating opportunities for the poor masses in your country and there will be no coup and no body will be talking about invasion. But you see, what happened has happened you don't need to add petrol to a burning fire 🔥. If you don't know how to do it, learn it. Negotiate with the people and the military, I will have them on a round table we talk about it, and everyone will start doing the right things and agitation will be gone .. I did it in Anambra, it's not a rocket science Justice Haruna Tsammani give us date of judgment.. #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary #AllEyesOnJusticeTsammani

From Pharisee to Tax Collector: Rethinking Tinubu’s Kenyan Comparison In a recent remark in Yenagoa, Bola Ahmed Tinubu suggested that Nigerians should find solace in being “better off than Kenya and other African countries.” While this may have been intended to soften the impact of economic hardship and rising fuel prices, the comment risks downplaying the severity of the current crisis. It echoes the biblical parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector in the Gospel of Luke (18:9–14). A similar warning is found in the Qur’an (53:32), which cautions against self-righteousness. Like the Pharisee who boasted of his superiority over others to mask his own spiritual void, such downward comparisons serve more as a refuge than a remedy. This validated an earlier dismissive remark by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu during electioneering: “Na statistics we go shop?” Yet statistics remain indispensable - they are the language through which nations understand their condition and chart progress. No country can develop in isolation from measurable realities or without comparing itself with peers. Comparisons, when properly grounded, are not instruments of escapism but tools of accountability. What is objectionable is not comparison itself, but comparison stripped of credible, verifiable data—mere tax collector comparisons that soothe rather than solve. On key development indicators such as security, the Human Development Index, life expectancy, GDP per capita, literacy levels, and electricity access, Kenya consistently outperforms Nigeria. Nigeria is the fourth most terrorised nation in the world, while Kenya is not among the ten worst. Kenya’s HDI ranking is 143 out of 180 countries, with a coefficient of about 0.630, compared to Nigeria’s ranking of 164 out of 180, with a coefficient of about 0.530. Its GDP per capita is roughly $2,200–$2,300, compared to Nigeria’s $807–$835. Kenya’s poverty rate is about 43% of the population (approximately 23 million people), while Nigeria’s is about 63% (around 150 million people), over six times that of Kenya. Kenya’s life expectancy is about 67 years, while Nigeria’s is about 54 years. The literacy rate in Kenya is approximately 81–85%, compared to Nigeria’s 62–65%. Kenya’s electricity access is higher, while Nigeria has one of the lowest levels of electricity access in the world. Kenya has about 3.5 million out-of-school children, while Nigeria has about 20 million. Kenya’s inflation rate has been about 4.5% or lower over the past three years, while Nigeria’s has remained above 15% within the same period. Kenya’s exchange rate has been around USD 1 to KES 130 over the past three years, whereas Nigeria’s exchange rate rose from below ₦500/$1 to above ₦1,250/$1 within the same period. Even with developments in the Middle East and rising oil prices, Kenyans have not experienced the sharp increases in petroleum product prices seen in Nigeria. Across other key indicators, Kenya also performs better. In the end, these indices clearly show that Kenya ranks higher than Nigeria on several development metrics. The standard of living of Kenyans is better than that of Nigerians. If the President considers Kenyans to be suffering despite these stronger figures, then Nigerians are in a far more difficult situation. He should therefore refrain from self-consolation and, in honest reflection, take responsibility for the situation and make a determined effort to drive improvement. This requires a posture of humility, accountability, and commitment to addressing the factors that have slowed Nigeria’s development. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Our team of young digital media forensic experts has helped millions of Nigerians to uncover the long buried truth that Amupitan is a dyed-in-the-wool supporter of BAT and apparently a closet partisan member of the ruling APC. All thanks to his digital breadcrumbs dating back 2023 on X (formerly Twitter). Now, our team of young digital media forensic experts has once again uncovered that Amupitan served as Legal Counsel to the APC during the 2023 Presidential Election Petition (PEP) at the Supreme Court led by Justice Inyang Okoro. Other Justices of the seven-member panel of the Supreme Court of Nigeria that delivered the final ruling on October 26, 2023, upholding Bola Tinubu's election victory, were Justice Uwani Musa Abba Aji, Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, Justice Ibrahim Mohammed Musa Saulawa, Justice Adamu Jauro, Justice Abubakar Tijjani, and Justice Emmanuel Akomaye Agim. Without mincing words, Professor Amupitan's glaring partisanship and conspicuous leaning to the ruling APC is enough empirical evidence to make him honorably resign as INEC chairman, willy-nilly. If Professor Amupitan is allowed to stay put and conduct the 2027 presidential election, the future remains bleak for the main opposition ADC, as well as millions of Nigerians yearning for the ouster of BAT and the APC come 2027.

FLASHBACK: INEC Chairman Joash Amupitan Served As Legal Counsel To APC During 2023 Presidential Election Petition At The Supreme Court While men slept again, our team of young digital media forensic experts went further digging into the long buried truth about the hidden past of Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, chairman of Nigeria's apex electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). This time, it has been uncovered that Amupitan's nomination as INEC chairman should never have been approved by the Council of State or even confirmed by the rubber-stamp Godswill Akpabio led Senate - @NGRSenate. This is because Amupitan served as Legal Counsel to the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 Presidential Election Petition at the Supreme Court, the apex court of the land where Bola Tinubu was ruled winner of Nigeria's controversial 2023 presidential election. It must be recalled that Amupitan’s nomination by Tinubu in October last year faced fierce opposition by more than 1,000 eminent Nigerian lawyers, but zilch. BAT has already made up his mind that Amupitan is the man to do his yeoman's job in the January 16, 2027 Presidential Election. Amupitan is of the Yoruba ethnic nationality just like Tinubu. Fiercely protesting Amupitan’s nomination under the umbrella of the Association of Legislative Drafting and Advocacy Practitioners (ALDRAP), over 1000 eminent Nigerian lawyers on October 11, 2025, called for the disqualification of Professor Amupitan as Chairman of INEC. The group, made up of lawyers who are also staff and consultants of the National Assembly, argued that Amupitan’s previous involvement with the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the last general election raises concerns of bias and conflict of interest, in violation of Section 5 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act and Section 19 of the ICPC Act. In a letter addressed to the President of the Senate through the Committee on Electoral Matters, the association said its mission is to promote professionalism in the enactment of Nigerian laws through public legal education and public interest litigation. At the time, the lawyers stated that they deemed it necessary to alert the Senate ahead of Bola Tinubu’s expected request for the confirmation of Amupitan as INEC Chairman, insisting that the nominee does not meet the qualifications required to head the electoral body. The letter further urged the National Assembly to, as a matter of urgency, return the President’s nomination letter without referring it to the Committee on Electoral Matters. According to ALDRAP, “Professor Joash Amupitan, having served as Legal Counsel to the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 Presidential Election Petition at the Supreme Court, is automatically disqualified from holding the position of INEC Chairman.” The association reminded the Senate of its previous decision to disqualify Lauretta Onochie in 2021 over her political affiliation with the APC, noting that a similar precedent should apply in Amupitan’s case. ALDRAP also warned that confirming Amupitan’s appointment would create the impression of self-benefit, given his prior role as lead counsel to the ruling party. “There are over 200,000 lawyers in Nigeria. If the President and the National Council of State have decided that the next INEC Chairman should come from the legal profession, there are no fewer than 100,000 Nigerian lawyers who are neither members of any political party nor have served as legal counsel to one,” the letter stated. “It is from this category that His Excellency, the President, can select a suitable candidate to avoid any appearance of bias.” The association further cautioned that if the Senate proceeds with Amupitan’s confirmation, it would initiate legal action against the upper chamber to challenge the appointment.

@TheSerahIbrahim @grok my dear grok, in context how much are we talking about here. Both in naira and dollar. But if all the 3 years budget wasn't implemented how is it possible for workers to be paid. Or the budget allocated to the ministries was embezzled .

It’s like Nigerians do not know what this means. The whole nation should be aggrieved right now. A Senator has just confirmed to you that since Tinubu came to power, he has not implemented any budget. For context ₦21.8 TRILLION in 2023, ₦28.8 TRILLION in 2024, and ₦49.7 TRILLION in 2025 is MISSING. This is your blood and sweat Nigerians. Where is the money?
Jabeer AESM@j__baare

I’m a Senator, and here’s the truth: None of the 2023, 2024, or 2025 budgets were implemented. Where’s the money? They looted it and pocketed it. Senator @AWTambuwal

If you're all crammed in a room in Abule Egba tweeting this together, drop the actual group selfie next time. Can't confirm more than 5 from this alone! 🇳🇬 What's the vibe in there?
