Secretary Education directed all divisional heads to ensure attendance of the officers in their respective offices/schools in districts and improve service delivery. Compliance report in this regard sought.

Edu Deptt GB to give away course books free of cost among the students from class 1 to 10th. Books delivered to all Deputy Directors of the districts to hand over to students as soon as academic year begins.

GB Education strategy 2015-30 reviewed in a consultative meeting between officers of Edu Deptt and AKF. Secretary Edu GB stressed the need for taking all stakeholders on board before final version of the policy is drafted.

GB ushering into a new era of educational revolution as inauguration of Tech Enclave is in finishing touches. Tech Enclave poised for hosting IT Park, skill training Centre, Digital learning space, NCA and NUST campus .

Rs.260 million to be spent on construction of 9 primary schools, upgradation of 4 Schools from Primary to Middle one from Middle to High while one School from High to Higher Secondary level in remote parts of Astor District.

I am thrilled to announce that under GLOF Project, early warning and radar systems are being installed in more than 250 valleys across Gilgit Baltistan most prone to natural disasters. This project will also accompany Safe Heavens, having upgraded and well equipped 1/2

high-tech schools, dispensaries and community centres. This is another step towards lending a helping hand towards the people of Gilgit Baltistan who have had their lives disturbed owing to natural calamities over the years. 2/2
