Long before many of you ever followed me, I made a promise: if I ever reached real, ironclad bearish conviction, I’d say it out loud. A while back I posted an updated thesis because we hit a genuine inflection point. I said outright this was a scalper’s market, a spot buyers market, or a “sit it out” market. Over the past few days, that thesis has hardened. I’m convinced we still have lower ahead. Hindsight is such a beautiful thing and because there are always people screaming bullishness and bearishness there's bound to be no shortage of people lined up to say "I knew it all along" or "You're an idiot for just now figuring this out". Yeah, I agree, I was very slow to accept that we've been in a bear market since October. When today arrived…I couldn’t bring myself to write the follow up I had promised. Yesterday’s comment section was brutal. I don't get paid enough to do this (because I'm paid zero). Any single thing I've posted since the weekend has me in front of a cult-level firing squad. And I honestly just don't need that energy in my life. So no, I’m not going to write some long thesis of how I got here, why I think we have lower still ahead, etc. I’m not selling anything. I’m not trying to convert anyone. Ignore me, counter-trade me, mirror me - I don’t care. None of it changes my bags. Here’s all I’ll say: I believe the charts will continue doing exactly what they’ve done since the 10/10 event. We’ll get bounces, but the broader structure still leans lower. I don’t see us reclaiming pre-10/10 levels until next year. There are bigger factors shaping this price action. And because of that, I’m adapting. I’m tightening stops, shifting my risk parameters, and running a hybrid scalp/swing approach until the battlefield changes. That's all. That's my update. 🫡 From the depths — The White Whale 🐋
