This is more important & consequential than the private jet! The Ford government has filed a motion in the legislature that tees it up to bypass public hearings on the controversial freedom-of-information system restrictions it's proposed — & potentially make them law this week!

Now that the $28.9M jet has been sold -- according to Premier Doug Ford's office - The government is facing pressure to prove it. Opposition parties want the receipts on the purchase / sale. The NDP wants the Auditor General to investigate. globalnews.ca/news/11812170/… #onpoli

Why isn't @TorontoStar all over the proposed changes to Ontario's Freedom of Information laws? Instead, they continue to write about the $29M plane, which is a distraction. The FOI changes matter. Otherwise, Ford can hide what's happening and what has happened.

Global News FOI found taxpayers pd $100,000 for Ford, Lecce & Fedeli to "wine & dine" in Washington during $189M election. -$31,000 for a "fireside chat" venue -$11,500 reception -$18,222.50 drinks/catering -thousands to fly/house up to 13 civil servants

I am no longer employed by CityNews. I am proud of my journalism at CityNews and I stand by my reporting. I will have more to say on this later but for now please stay tuned and thank you for those who have supported me.

Tina got fired. She was suggesting that a few billion dollars of taxpayer money could have gone "missing" and wound up in some dodgy investments. My own review of her work and a look at the "bailouts" occurring in the TO real estate market suggest she was onto something. Something - as in billions. @TinaYazdani
