@eleanorjwright @southwestehcp Was a time when parent could phone & say have considered, don’t want to, please issue & it wd be. Now when phone is answered & parent says same u get staff who say ‘will endeavour to phone u back in 5days ‘ ( & often don’t) or send a form to be filled

@eleanorjwright @southwestehcp GM asking for additional info beyond GDPR minimisation principles doesn’t help. GM not having process to offer RAs for parents who are not literate. My gripes.

@EHCP_Advisers @sos_sen @SendCrisis I requested an EHCNA last year and that was refused, but won appeal. Then they refused to issue so tribunal was due November but LA conceded , and the only date I was given was for the draft , which was 20th Dec , so I’m not sure if that will be affected by the previous tribunal

If my daughters draft EHCP was issued on the 20th December , I submitted my parental preference by the 3rd Jan , when would the final draft deadline date be ? I’m getting conflicting dates . #ehcp #SEND @sos_sen @SendCrisis @EHCP_Advisers

@hayleytilbey @sos_sen @SendCrisis If the draft was issued as a result of an annual review Final is as soon as practicable & in any event less than 8weeks, if draft is for a 1st ever plan - Final must be by week 20

Sometimes the placement is not quite working & failing to conclude the AR cycle, amend & give right of appeal can lead to placement breaking down & rebuilding from that point is very very hard. Please respond to the AR consultation closes 12.8.22

@DavidMc80397417 This is also why it is so vital to respond to the consult on annual reviews. So many times I find myself advising and assisting with the incorrect undertaking and completion of ARs more so in many cases than the initial EHC process

In my view this issue is at the root of the send problems ( aside from lack of suitable places) the issue is old it is not from CFA 2014, please respond consultation closes 12.08.2022 it’s only 5 Questions

Apparently a significant minority of cases when preparing a draft of amendments to the plan proposed seemingly does take LAs an unusual long time! What nonsense this is not a minority!!!! This is widespread and too often it's not just 1-2months it's years!!!!

School holidays & v hot weather coming in, make tonight the night you send your response to Send Green Paper in, ipsea sossen and SNJ all offering ways to help with submission. Enshrined rights will become bartering for diluted guff if parents voices are silent.

This is excellent, listening will be as good as watching - it is so IMPORTANT to respond to the SEND green paper, children’s rights are at risk of being lost, we must protect them
