@TatooineSons That’s not true. We had already seen the fall across two trilogies and the redemption in Episode VI, so repeating that theme feels redundant. To me, that’s one of the reasons why the message of this film doesn’t work.

@the_senate4292 No, you shouldn’t start with the novels. You should start with the books and ideas that influenced George Lucas, especially works by Carlos Castaneda such as Journey to Ixtlan. Those influences will help you understand Star Wars far better than most tie-in novels ever could.

@IMAO_ You like it more because it resembles the one from Episode V, but that doesn’t make it better. To me, it’s less expressive, and its interpretation goes against the ideas that define Star Wars, including the influences of Carlos Castaneda and Lucas’ anthropological approach.

The Last Jedi has a good Yoda puppet (way better than that terrible Phantom Menace one).

I have 2 1. I think the theatrical cuts of the OT need to be preserved but the special editions are fine 2. Disney has made more bad Star Wars than good.

Lo curioso es que ya te he respondido a lo de Anakin y sigues formulando la pregunta como si nadie lo hubiera hecho. Porque el problema no es que no se te responda. El problema es que das por demostrada una premisa que precisamente es lo que estamos discutiendo. Tú afirmas que si Palpatine regresa entonces el sacrificio de Anakin pierde todo el sentido. Yo digo que no. Anakin sigue salvando a Luke. Sigue derrotando al Emperador. Sigue destruyendo el Imperio. Sigue completando su redención. Nada de eso desaparece porque décadas después aparezca una nueva amenaza. Si seguimos tu lógica, entonces cada nueva guerra invalida todas las victorias anteriores de cualquier saga. Y no funciona así. Lo que ocurre es que has decidido que tu interpretación es la única válida y llamas "no responder" a cualquier respuesta que no coincida contigo. Y con Rey haces exactamente lo mismo. Que te parezca un personaje mal escrito es una opinión perfectamente legítima. Decir que "no tiene nada de nada" es simplemente una exageración. Tiene un conflicto de identidad. Tiene un conflicto de pertenencia. Tiene miedo al abandono. Tiene una obsesión constante por encontrar un lugar al que pertenecer y una familia a la que aferrarse. Otra cosa es que no te guste cómo está desarrollado. Pero negar que existe porque odias al personaje no es análisis. Es fanatismo (y un poquito bastante de misoginia, ya que todo lo que no aceptas de Rey lo adoras en Luke).
