@EloquentEnigma It doesn't bother me. Whether it's "miss" or "ma'am", someone is attempting to speak to me best they can (without knowing my name). They don't know I'm married or even my name. So, there's nothing (imo) offensive about the address.

What are your thoughts on a woman being called "miss?" To me it seems condescending and infantilizing but I'm curious how everyone else feels, especially women

@EloquentEnigma I think it's a nice platonic way to address a woman if any age. I recently returned to Seattle after a couple months in Nashville. I liked the gentle pet names that people use to show affection & respect there. 'Boss' is one of my new favorites.

@AstridPeerson Or just end it after 'protect each other.' The weight of that is intense. Then something that shows why they needed to protect, perhaps dialogue to use few words and high emotion to get the point across.

#writingcommmunity Other words to describe an evil person? My mind has gone blank, and Google is no help. The sentence I'm writing - "Instead, all of the peerson siblings would try their best to protect each other from their.." I don't really want to just put 'evil father'🤔
