Recipients of this years Merlin Gates Award was the Environmental Club at FHCS. Over the last few years this group worked hard to create a sustainable FHCS which includes rain gardens, two water refill stations and reusable water bottles for all students and staff. @chestermun

This years 'Bryan Mitchell Team of the Year' is the boys hockey team. After making a comeback after 5 years away from @NSSAFsports the boys hockey team really stepped up in the community this year by volunteering many hours to various causes. @VHSHLHockey @fhcshockey2019

This year, receiving the Lieutenant Governor's Medallions for being Respectful Leaders, are our grade 11 students, Emily Jollymore and Will McCorriston. @LtGovNS @nsgov

It wouldn't be FHCS without our grade 9 students. Here are just a few of our grade 9's who made an impact this year! Highest Avg - Julien Davidson; Personal Growth - Mae DeWolfe; Triple Threat - Hudson Heisler-Broome, and DO - Mercedes James-Tanner & Abbie Watts.

Cindy was instrumental in keeping our Volleyball program alive and for that reason and relationship with her players, @CindyKowalyk received the @NSSAFsports award for Outstanding Service. Thank you Cindy!

Each year the @NSSAFsports recognizes a make and female athlete for their Exemplary Participation in Sport. This years recipients were two outstanding students and athlete's, Taylor Kowalyk and Mark Chandler. @FHCSAthletics

Next we acknowledge our @fhcshockey2019 team as selected by the coaches. This years Most Improved Player is Drake Harris; our Coach's Choice Awards goes to Justin Brown; the Top Offensive Player is Mark Chandler; and our Top Defensive Player is Dominick Lowe.

Today we start with recognition of our boys basketball awards. Congrats to Aren Harris and Dylan Morrow on receiving the 'Don Weagle Memorial Coach's Award; James Marchand on receiving the Chad Conrad Mem. Sportsmanship Award & Dylan Morrow as our teams MVP.

Up next is Girls Basketball!!! Rookie of the Year winner is Olivia Sawler; the 3D Award goes to Julia Russell; and the Girls Basketball MVP was Faith Jollymore. Congratulations to you all!

This year our Curling Leadership Award goes to the skip of our team, Cameron Stevens!

Next, we are going to showcase are the Girls Volleyball Awards. Congratulations to Haley Wilson (Team Spirit Award), Amber Haslem (Most Improved Player), and Taylor Kowalyk (Most Valuable Player).

Today we are going to start with our Golf MVP Award. Congratulations to Mark Chandler who will be attending Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina this August.

The next team we are going to recognize is our Boys Soccer Team. Congratulations to our Rookie of the Year, Sam Nette; Coach's Choice Award winner, Aidan O'Neil; and the team MVP, Nathan Russell!
